Second Chance for Vick?
As a dog lover and a big football fan I need to say something about this Micheal Vick story. First of all in no way do I condone what he did in the past to those dogs. I don’t believe abusing dogs, cats, birds, whatever.
On the other hand, there are cultures in the world that do dog fighting on a regular and have been for years. Not to say that it is right but they do not know any better because it has been going on for so long without anyone objecting. What needs to be done in cases like that is education.
Vick has done the crime and served his jail sentence. Now people are arguing that he should not be signed to any football team? If you have not heard yet, Micheal signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Even the president of the humane society said it is time to move on. People who molest or abuse children in any kind of way get a second chance to live in society. Is Vick worse than a pedophile? I do not think so! Give the man a chance to show he has learned his lesson. Society is so backwards. If you disagree with me that’s OK, at least make a valid point as to why you do.
