An Oprah Special-Dating Abuse
The recent incident between Rhianna and Chris Brown has ignited the controversial topic of domestic abuse. Today, Oprah announced on her live television show that she will be doing a special on dating abuse. There is a opportunity out there now to address this issue once again. Especially to young men and women in their teens. The fact that Rihanna may actually be back with him is another reason why society should not let celebrities be examples for their children. Have an open dialogue with them about abuse. Make sure they know what constitutes as abuse when you are dating someone. This special on the Oprah show will be aired next week. Thursday, March 12TH. This is well put. I think that we some times forget that these people are human beings as well and will make the same mistakes that we make. An open dialog between parent & child/teen is much needed.
