The Meaning Of Valentine’s Day, To Me
Some may call it a commercial holiday, some lavish in the gifts they expect to get. I’m kind of in the middle. Like every other holiday, it has become very commercial. Just a reason for you to go out and buy something. On the other hand, a gift can be more than something expensive. The perfect Valentine’s day for me is when it’s spent honoring those we love. From our mates, family, friends and pets.
If I happen to have a significant other then I love anything that comes from the heart. It can be dinner made by you. Or a series of little favours you do all day. Anything that you think would make me smile and feel loved is satisfying to me.
The point is to love and show love all year round. I used to hate being alone on V-day for years! That’s because one of my grand parents past away on V-day. Now I take a moment on the 14TH to remember him and to show at least one person that I care and love them.
